BJP ticket fraud: Chaitra Kundapur and five accused in police custody for 10 days
Six accused, including Hindu activist Chaitra Kundapura, have been ordered to CCB custody till September 23 in connection with the case of defrauding businessman Govinda Babu Pujari of crores of rupees by believing that he would give him BJP ticket for Byndur constituency in Udupi district.
Chaitra Kundapur, Ramesh, Devaraj, Srikanth, Prajwal, who are the main accused in the case, were arrested in Udupi and Chikkamagalur and brought to the CCB office in the city today.
After undergoing medical examination at KC General Hospital, the accused were produced before the first ACMM court. There was a fraud of more than 5 crores against the accused and they had systematically planned to commit the act.
At this time, the police requested that the accused be sent to CCB custody for 14 days. But the court sent the six accused to CCB custody for 10 days.
